About the role:

Kordell Truck and Trailer Sales is seeking an energetic, results-driven Sales Professional to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with transportation businesses and owner-operators to sell them the right semi-trucks to meet their operational needs. This position focuses on understanding client requirements, presenting effective solutions, and driving sales in a critical industry that powers our country.

Key Responsibilities:

–               Build and maintain relationships with fleet owners, independent operators, and logistics companies through active prospecting, territory management, and consistent follow-up

–               Actively prospect through methods such as cold calling and day travel to build relationships and generate business

–               Guide customers through the entire sales process, from initial consultation to final delivery, ensuring their specific hauling needs are met

–               Work with our finance team to help customers understand their options and secure optimal financing solutions

–               Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining the high level of integrity and service

Preferred Skills/Certifications:

Sales and Industry Knowledge

–               Ability to build trust and credibility with experienced trucking professionals

–               Previous experience in truck sales, equipment sales, or related heavy-duty vehicle industry

–               Understanding of Class 8 trucks, specifications, and common applications

Customer Service Excellence

–               Skill in identifying customer needs and matching them with the right equipment

–               Strong negotiation abilities while maintaining long-term relationship focus

–               Experience working with diverse customer bases, from single truck owners to fleet owners

Technical Understanding

–               Familiarity with truck specifications, engine types, and common maintenance considerations

–               Basic understanding of DOT regulations and trucking industry requirements

–               Comfort with inventory management systems and sales tracking software

Business Acumen

–               Understanding of truck financing, leasing options, and basic business calculations

–               Ability to explain complex financial terms and warranty coverage to customers

–               Experience with deal structuring and trade-in evaluations
